Mr. Brogan, According to your application for the acceptance of FAA Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA00530SE with AML related to the: Installation of vortex generators on the leading edge of the upper side of the wing, and on the underside of the horizontal stabilizer in accordance with Micro AeroDynamics Drawing List MA2104, Revision A, dated May 5, 2009, and Installation Manual MA2105, Revision B, dated May 5, 2009, or later FAA approved revisions, or if STC SA5948NM was previously installed, installation of additional vortex generators on the wing, and on the underside of the horizontal stabilizer in Página | 2 _______________________________________________________________________________ www.aerocivil.gov.co - Av. Considering that Micro AeroDynamics Inc, has submitted the associated technical documentation, which was reviewed and evaluated under Colombian Civil Aviation Regulations (RAC 21, § 21.515). The Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL) accepts the foreign Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA00530SE for major alteration application on Colombian registered aeronautical products, in accordance with airworthiness limitations and conditions stated in the FAA Supplemental Type Certificate. As substantiated by Micro AeroDynamics Inc, the following is the list of required documents that must accompany each installation on Colombian registered aeronautical products as required by RAC43 § 43.300(b): 1. STC No. SA00530SE& FAA Approved AML LIST. 2. MA2103 Technical Report Rev IR or later approved FAA revision 3. MA2104 Drawing Package (excerpt) Rev IR dated May 5, 2009 or later approved FAA revision 4. MA2105 Installation manual (Option 1) Rev B dated May 5, 2009 or later approved FAA revision 5. MA2106 Installation manual (Option 2) Rev B dated June 1, 2009 or later approved FAA revision 6. ST2999SE-A Flight Test Report dated June 8, 1998 or later approved FAA revision 7. A letter of authorization of use of the STC signed by the appropriate person in the STC holder organization identifying A/C tail number and S/N. The aeronautical product to be altered must be listed in the respective FAA Approved Model List (AML) of this STC. The STC SA00530SE will be entered in the national index of accepted STCs. Please bear in mind that this acceptance is issued to the STC and its supporting technical data and does not constitute an approval for the product (or products part of the STC) to be imported, is the responsibility of the installer to comply with the requirements set forth in RAC 21.1200 for the product (or products) being imported. In addition, please consider that your company is responsible to keep this STC information (The alterations’ published documents) updated to guarantee safe operation and support the continued airworthiness of the altered aircraft registered in Colombia. Any major change of the STC information must be reported and documented to the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL). The validity of this letter of acceptance expires when the Supplemental Type Certificate approval ceases to exist.
