Dear Mr. Sanghera: According to your application for the acceptance of FAA Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA00352BO, related to the: Installation of an Avidyne Corporation Mode A/C/S Transponder with ADS-B out Capability, Model AXP340 loaded with Version 3.13 Software (or later FAA approved revision) or Model AXP322 with Version 2.7 Software (or later FAA approved revision), in Accordance with Avidyne Corporation Master Document List (MDL), Document Number AVAXP-005, Revision 3, Dated October 27, 2016, or Later FAA approved revision. The Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL) accepts the foreign Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA00352BO, for major alteration application on Colombian registered aeronautical products, in accordance with airworthiness limitations and conditions stated in the FAA Supplemental Type Certificate. As substantiated by Avidyne, the Master Document List AVAXP-005 “200-00247-XXX 200- 00269-XXX Remote Transponder AML STC Master Document List ” revision 04 dated 01/26/2017 or later FAA approved revision, (including all the applicable documents listed on section 2.2 as listed below) contains the required documents for installation of the Transponder and associated components into any aircraft registered in Colombia. Following is the list of required documents as listed on AVAXP-005 Section 2.2: 1. 600-00308-000 AXP340 MODE S TRANSPONDER INSTALLATION MANUAL Rev. 03 26/01/2017 or later FAA approved revision, or 600-00312-000 AXP322 MODE S REMOTE TRANSPONDER INSTALLATION MANUAL Rev.3 26/01/2017 or later FAA approved revision 2. 600-00309-000 AXP340 / AXP322 TRANSPONDER AML STC AIRCRAFT FLIGHT MANUAL SUPPLEMENT Rev. 1 26/01/2017 3. AVAXP-007 Avidyne 200-00247-XXX Transponder and 200-00269-XXX Remote Transponder Instructions for Continued Airworthiness Rev. 2 04/10/2016 The aeronautical product must be listed in the respective FAA Approved Model List (AML) of the STC. The STC SA00352BO, will be entered in the national index of accepted STC. It is important to mention that a copy of the STC and required documents should accompany each installation (RAC 43, § 43.300 (b)). Please bear in mind that this acceptance is issued to the STC and its supporting technical data and does not constitute an approval for the product (or products part of the STC) to be imported, is the responsibility of the installer to comply with the requirements set forth in RAC 21.1200 for the product (or products) being imported. In addition, please consider that your company is responsible to keep this STC information (The alterations’ published documents) updated to guarantee safe operation and support the continued airworthiness of the altered aircraft registered in Colombia. The validity of this letter of acceptance expires when the Supplemental Type Certificate approval ceases to exist. If at any point in time, the AEROCIVIL finds that there is a reasonable doubt to indicate that the safety of the aeronautical product is compromised because of an unsafe condition developed in the aeronautical product, AEROCIVIL may cancel the letter of STC Acceptance.
