The original UAEAC letter of acceptance is 5106.091.7 – 2020006236. Colombian CAA (UAEAC) Reference ADI#: 2021114555, dated December 16, 2021. 2. FAA 7K0-21-8156 letter (Wichita ACO Branch) dated June 7, 2021. 3. STC SA01848WI, date amended June 24, 2020. 4. UAEAC letter No. 5106.091.7 – 2020006236 dated February 21, 2020 - Acceptance of Foreign Supplemental No. SA01848WI (issued by FAA). 5. FTP Site: Collins posted all the STC technical documentations for UAEAC review on your dedicated Colombian FTP site, in December and January for access to download and review. A simple description of amended the STC is supply an updated GPS P/N for a series of obsolete GPS units, the new GPS 4000S part number is No 822-2189-101. There is also a SW update to correct a localized ‘GPS Time’ error that is described with the SIL GPS-4X00-19-3 Service Information Letter (523-0829428-201000) - Rev 2. Colombian Civil Aviation Regulations, RAC 21. § 21.515 Dear Mr. Terrintong, With reference to the subject, the acceptance process of the FAA STC SA01848WI (Amended June 24, 2020), which included an update of the built-in software on the GPS- 4000S, which resulted in a part number change to 822-2189-10, has been completed. We have reviewed the content and changes of the information above-mentioned (item 5 and 6) under Colombian Civil Aviation Regulations RAC 21, § 21.515 and considering that this major change is FAA approved (State of Design), the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (UAEAC) find it also acceptable for major alteration application on Colombian registered aeronautical products. In addition, please consider that your company is responsible to keep this STC information (The alterations’ published documents) updated to guarantee safe operation and support the continued airworthiness of the altered aircraft registered in Colombia. The SA01848WI STC (Post Validation Activity) will be entered in the national index of accepted STCs. The validity of this letter of acceptance expires when the Supplemental Type Certificate approval ceases to exist. If at any point of time, the UAEAC finds that there is a reasonable doubt to indicate that the safety of the aeronautical product is compromised because of an unsafe condition developed in the aeronautical product, UAEAC may cancel the letter of STC Acceptance.
