Considering that Garmin has submitted the associated technical documentation, which was reviewed and evaluated under Colombian Civil Aviation Regulations (RAC 21, § 21.515). The Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL) accepts the foreign Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA01818WI, for major alteration application on Colombian registered aeronautical products, in accordance with airworthiness limitations and conditions stated in the FAA Supplemental Type Certificate. As substantiated by GARMIN, the following is the list of required documents that must accompany each installation on Colombian registered aeronautical products as required by RAC43 § 43.300(b): 7. FAA Approved Model List (AML) – STC Number SA01818WI Installation of Garmin G5 Electronics Instrument System, dated December 10, 2020 or later FAA approved revision 9. Master Drawing List, Doc. No. 005-01112-01, Rev. 30 dated 10/05/2022 or later FAA approved revision 10. Garmin G5 Electronic Flight Instrument Part 23 AML STC Installation Manual, Doc. 190-01112-10, Rev. 29 dated 17/12/2021 or later FAA approved revision. 11. Garmin G5, Electronic Flight Instrument, Part 23 AML STC Maintenance Manual Including Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Doc. 190-01112-11, Rev. 10, dated 29/12/2021 or later FAA approved revision. 12. Airplane flight Manual Supplement or Supplemental Airplane Flight Manual for the Garmin G5 electronics flight Instrument, Doc. 190-01112-13, Rev. 8, dated 29/12/2021 or later FAA approved revision. 13. A letter of authorization of use of the STC signed by the appropriate person in the STC holder organization identifying A/C tail number and S/N. The aeronautical product must be listed in the respective FAA Approved Model List (AML) of this STC. The STC SA01818WI, will be entered in the national index of accepted STC. It is important to mention that a copy of the STC and required documents should accompany each installation (RAC 43, § 43.300 (b)). Please bear in mind that this acceptance is issued to the STC and its supporting technical data and does not constitute an approval for the product (or products part of the STC) to be imported, is the responsibility of the installer to comply with the requirements set forth in RAC 21.1200 for the product (or products) being imported. Any major change of the STC information must be reported and documented to the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL). The validity of this letter of acceptance expires when the Supplemental Type Certificate approval ceases to exist. If at any point in time, the AEROCIVIL finds that there is a reasonable doubt to indicate that the safety of the aeronautical product is compromised because of an unsafe condition developed in the aeronautical product, AEROCIVIL may cancel the letter of STC Acceptance.
