Garmin Email dated April 24, 2023, attaching 15 technical documents (PDF files) requested by AEROCIVIL and responses to questions with some brief descriptions. Garmin confirms us that wishes only to obtain validation for the latest approved G1000 NXi system software version 3557.02. 3. Garmin letter #GL23009_2 - Request for Colombian Civil Aviation authority (UAEAC) letter of Acceptance for FAA STC SA01456WI-D. 4. FAA letter #7K5-23-00302 dated March 24, 2023 - Design Approval Application for Validation of FAA STC SA01456WI-D. 5. Colombian Civil Aviation Regulations, RAC 21. § 21.515. Dear Mr. Mast, According to your application for the acceptance of FAA Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA01456WI-D, related to the installation of:  Garmin G1000 integrated Avionics System and GFC700 Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS) in the Textron Aviation Inc. models C90A, C90GT and C90GTi (FAA Part 23). The Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL) accepts the foreign Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA01456WI-D, limited to the installation of the latest approved G1000 NXi system software version 3557.02, for major alteration application on Colombian registered aeronautical products, in accordance with airworthiness limitations and conditions stated in the FAA Supplemental Type Certificate. The aeronautical product must be listed in the respective FAA Approved Model List (AML) of this STC. The STC SA01456WI-D, will be entered in the national index of accepted STC. It is important to mention that a copy of the STC and the following required documents should accompany each installation (RAC 43, § 43.300 (b)). 1. Master Drawing List G1000 & GFC 700 AFCS In Textron Aviation C90A/C90GT/C90GTi King Air Aircraft 005-00375-30 Rev. 22 or later FAA approved revision 2. FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement G1000NXi and GFC 700 in Textron Aviation C90A/C90GT/C90GTi King Air Document 190- 00682-N2 Rev. 1 or later FAA approved revision 3. G1000 NXi System Maintenance Manual King Air C90 Series Includes Instructions for Continued Airworthiness for STC SA01456WI-D Document 190-00682-N1 Rev. 3 or later FAA approved revision. 4. General Arrangement, G1000 NXi King Air C90 Series Document 005- 00375-N1 Rev. 4 or later FAA approved revision. 5. G1000 NXi Post Installation Checkout Procedure Textron Aviation King Air C90 Series Document 190-00682-N0 Rev. 2 or later FAA approved revision 6. G1000 NXi Cockpit Reference Guide Textron Aviation C90 Series 190- 02641-00 Rev. B or later FAA approved revisions. Note: Please be informed that the Approved Model List -AML, includes the following models whose TCs have not been validated in Colombia: King Air C90A. Please bear in mind that this acceptance is issued to the STC and its supporting technical data and does not constitute an approval for the product (or products part of the STC) to be imported, is the responsibility of the installer to comply with the requirements set forth in RAC 21.1200 for the product (or products) being imported. In addition, please consider that your company is responsible to keep this STC information (The alterations’ published documents) updated to guarantee safe operation and support the continued airworthiness of the altered aircraft registered in AERONÁUTICA CIVIL DE COLOMBIA Av. Any major change of the STC information must be reported and documented to the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL). The validity of this letter of acceptance expires when the Supplemental Type Certificate approval ceases to exist. If at any point of time, the AEROCIVIL finds that there is a reasonable doubt to indicate that the safety of the aeronautical product is compromised because of an unsafe condition developed in the aeronautical product, AEROCIVIL may cancel the letter of STC Acceptance.
