Dear Mr. Sanghera: According to your application for the acceptance of FAA Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA00343BO, related to the installation of: Installation of a single configuration or of a dual configuration Avidyne Corporation Integrated Flight Display, Model IFD5XX and/or Model IFD4XX, loaded with Release 10.1 software (or later FAA approved release) and/or Atlas, loaded with Release 10.3 software (or later FAA approved release), in accordance with Avidyne Corporation Master Document List (MDL), Document Number AVIFD-306, Revision 04, dated May 27, 2015, or later FAA approved revision. The Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL) accepts the foreign Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA00343BO, for major alteration application on Colombian registered aeronautical products, in accordance with airworthiness limitations and conditions stated in the FAA Supplemental Type Certificate. As substantiated by Avidyne, the Master Document List AVIFD-306 "700-00182-XXX IFD5XX, 700-00179-XXX IFD4XX, and 700-00194-XXX Atlas Integrated Flight Display AML STC Master Document List", revision 30 dated 13/10/22 or later FAA approved revision, (including all the applicable documents listed on section 2.2 and recorded below) contains the required documents for installation of the Integrated Flight Display and associated components into any aircraft registered in Colombia. Following is the list of required documents as listed on report AVIFD-306 section 2.2: 1. 600-00299-000 IFD5XX / IFD4XX Atlas Integrated Flight Display Installatin Manual for Fixed Wing Applications Rev. 25 10/02/2023, or later FAA approved revision. 2. AVIFD-315 Avidyne 700-00182-XXX, 700-00179-XXX and 700-00194-XXX Integrated Flight Display Instructions for Continued Airworthiness Rev. 11 08/12/2022, or later FAA approved revision. 3. 600-00298-000 FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement For Avidyne Integrated Flight Displays 700-00182-XXX (IFD5XX), 700-00179-XXX (IFD4XX) and 700-00194-XXX (Atlas) Rev. 11 26/08/2022 , or later FAA approved revision. 4. 600-00298-002 FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement For Avidyne Integrated Flight Displays p/n 700-00182-XXX (IFD5XX), 700-00179-XXX (IFD4XX) and 700-00194-XXX (Atlas) installed with Collins Pro Line 21 Avionics The aeronautical product must be listed in the respective FAA Approved Model List (AML) of this STC. The STC SA00343BO, will be entered in the national index of accepted STC. It is important to mention that a copy of the STC and required documents should accompany each installation (RAC 43, § 43.300 (b)). Please bear in mind that this acceptance is issued to the STC and its supporting technical data and does not constitute an approval for the product (or products part of the STC) to be imported, is the responsibility of the installer to comply with the requirements set forth in RAC 21.1200 for the product (or products) being imported. In addition, please consider that your company is responsible to keep this STC information (The alterations’ published documents) updated to guarantee safe operation and support the continued airworthiness of the altered aircraft registered in Colombia. Any major change of the STC information must be reported and documented to the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL). If at any point in time, the AEROCIVIL finds that there is a reasonable doubt to indicate that the safety of the aeronautical product is compromised because of an unsafe condition developed in the aeronautical product, AEROCIVIL may cancel the letter of STC Acceptance. NOTE: This letter revokes the previously issued letter filed with number 2023240040031713 dated 10/23/2023, Subject: Acceptance of Foreign Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SA00343BO (issued by FAA), due to a typographical error on the originally issued letter.
