Dear Mr. Bibby, According to your application for the acceptance of FAA Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA10822SC, related to the installation of: 1. Installation of EFD 1000 Primary Flight Display in Accordance with Aspen Installation Manual document # A-01-126-00 Revision C, dated 3/28/2008 or later FAA approved revision. 2. Installation of EFD1000/EFD500 Evolution Flight Display(s) System in accordance with Aspen Avionics Installation Manual document # 900-00003-001 Revision D, dated september 28, 2009, or latef aproved FAA revision, and Installation of the EWR50 Datalink Receiver Component of the EFD1000/500 Evolution Flight Display(s) System in accordance with Aspen Avionics EWR50 Installation Manual document #900-00007-001, Revision C, dated September 28, 2009, or later approved FAA revision. 3. The Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL) accepts the foreign Supplemental Type Certificate No. SA10822SC, for major alteration application on Colombian registered aeronautical products, in accordance with airworthiness limitations and conditions stated in the FAA Supplemental Type Certificate. It is to be noted that per STC limitations option 3 of the STC (EFD1000 E5) is only approved for airplanes Class I and II as defined in FAA AC 23.1309-1E section 15. Please bear in mind that this acceptance is issued to the STC and its supporting technical data and does not constitute an approval for the product (or products part of the STC) to be imported, is the responsibility of the installer to comply with the requirements set forth in RAC 21.1200 for the product (or products) being imported. Any major change of the STC information must be reported and documented to the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL). The validity of this letter of acceptance expires when the Supplemental Type Certificate approval ceases to exist. If at any point in time, the AEROCIVIL finds that there is a reasonable doubt to indicate that the safety of the aeronautical product is compromised because of an unsafe condition developed in the aeronautical product, AEROCIVIL may cancel the letter of STC Acceptance.
